Gary L Fraser, 79, died Feb 15th from injuries sustained in an auto accident earlier that morning. Gary was born Dayton, Ohio on March 20, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Myrtle Fraser, and his younger brother, Dennis Fraser, of Dayton Ohio. He survived by his wife, Cathy May of Osgood, and his step children, Tony Alstott, Christine Attwood and Gena Beard. Also step grandchildren Ahnya Eviger (Joe), Rachel Alstott, Josiah Alstott (Jesse), Caleb Alstott, Mary Alstott, Sara Key and Dallas Struckman and great granddaughter Adyson. Also, surviving him are the mother of his children, Jannalee Fraser and their children, Matthew Fraser (Rose) and Holly Fraser. Gary and Jannalee’s grandchildren are Jeremiah Fraser, Yara and Glory Sief, Emma and Ella Fraser and Adrianne and A. J. Fraser. He attended four years at Antioch College in Yellow Springs Ohio, and one year at the University of Dayton. He served six years in the Air Force Reserves as an Air Traffic Controller at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Gary was an "advertising man." He spent his life in sales mostly for various newspapers. As a young man, Gary was Vice President of the Ohio State Jaycees. Gary was an avid reader and collector, and a published poet. He had a great sense of humor and was interested in everyone he met. He loved music and played harmonica and keyboard. Gary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osgood. He was a past member of the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. Gary believed in giving back and was active in his church and community wherever he lived. He loved putting a smile on other people’s faces and gave away hundreds of stuffed animals wherever he went. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Osgood First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25. The family requests memorials be given to the Osgood First Baptist Church.
