To the family of Melvin Black: My deepest sympathies to your entire family during this time of loss. I was a very privileged person to have met and know Melvin. He was a leader in the community and was very compassionate. I did know him as a business man. The community's loss is heaven's gain. God bless you all.

Even though Mel and I were not directly related, I always felt as though we were, since he was the brother of my Uncle Paul and was at many of the family get-togethers as I was growing up. Later, after college, marriage, and settling in Milan, I learned that Mel was considered a leader, as well as. a trustworthy car salesman here. I'm so sorry for the family's loss. He was a wonderful man. My mother, Linda Weber-Dilk, graduated with Mel, and is grieving his passing, as well.
