Mary Ellen Wenger age 81 formerly of the Dillsboro, IN area, quietly passed away early on Tuesday morning, October 24, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Julia Rasavage Nash Jr who was born in Frackville, PA on September 18, 1936. She married Christ Yost Wenger on September 28, 1956 and he preceded her in death in March of 2013.

In February of 2017, due to failing health, she became a resident of Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN. Mary was always known for her quick witted and mischievous sense of humor and this continued to stay with her up until the very end.

Survivors include a son, Gregory F. Wenger of Jeffersonville, IN; two daughters, Allison (Harold) Speer of Dillsboro and Jena (Charles) Hughes of Henryville. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Martin F. Nash and two sisters, Agnes Morris and Margaret Nash. There will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Neal's Funeral Home.
