Roscoe Burns Obituary

Roscoe Burns age 84, formerly of Sunman, passed away on Friday morning at Silver Memories in Versailles. He was born on November 15, 1933 the son of the late Burchell and Attie (Sandlin) Burns in Booneville, Ky. He grew up in that area along with several brother and sisters.

He met Thelma McIntosh and they married and started their family. Roscoe spent several years working for Haag Ford as a mechanic. He had also become an ordained Minister.

Roscoe is survived by sons; Rocky (Brenda), Hobert (Polly) and Stanley all of Kentucky, along with daughters Judy (Gary) Kincer of Milan, Karen (Robert) Rumsey of Aurora, and Mayme Jean (Dewey) Bowling of Aurora, along with numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma, and daughter Ruth Ann Bussell.

A private family burial will take place in Owsley County, Kentucky. Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood is entrusted with the arrangements.
