   Carolyn Ruth Herron, age 62 of Osgood, IN passed away Monday, December 16 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN . She was born May 16, 1951 in Iuka, Mississippi . Her parents were Sam Virgel Rhodes, Violet (Clayton) Tallman & step-father Ed Tallman.
  
 
 
  
   Carolyn met her husband Thomas Herron in high school & they were married October 31, 1970 a total of 43 years. She was a volunteer EMT with Rescue 69 for several years. She worked at Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood & also with Muscatatuck State Hospital for 13 years until it closed. Carolyn enjoyed camping, gardening, reading, sewing & baking with her grandchildren. She was known for making one of the best carrot cakes ever. She will be so sadly missed by her family, friends & lots of nieces & nephews.
