Deborah Hammon

Deborah Hammon, age 74, formerly of Dillsboro, passed away on June 21, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born on December 17, 1950.

Deborah dedicated her career to helping others as a registered nurse. In recent years, she had been living in Erlanger, Kentucky, with her husband, Lawrence Hammon, whom she married on June 30, 2001. Together, they had previously lived in the Cross Plains and Dillsboro communities.

Deborah was strong in her Catholic faith. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgood on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 12 pm., with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

Deborah found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She and Lawrence enjoyed spending time in local parks, had bowled together in years past, and especially loved being with their grandchildren. One of their favorite shared pastimes was visiting the Cincinnati Airport to watch airplanes take off and land.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Marsha and Sharon.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence Hammon, sons Michael and Christian Horn, sister Charlene, brother John “Teddy” Howery, and numerous nieces and nephews.
