Harold "Bill" Treadway

Harold “Bill” Treadway, age 84, of Versailles, passed away late Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

Harold was born on August 8, 1940, in San Jacinto (Jennings County), Indiana, the son of the late William and Eugenia (Bailey) Treadway. He was a 1958 graduate of White Water High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

After completing his military service, Harold entered the workforce. He spent several years working at Schenley’s in Aurora and later drove for Batesville Casket Company, where he retired in 2004 after 16 years and over three million accident-free miles. Alongside his professional career, he had a lifelong passion for small engine repair. He owned and operated his own mower shop in Versailles and even spent two years working in a marina in Charleston, South Carolina, for his sister.

In the late 1980s, Bill met the love of his life, Sandy, and they were united in marriage on June 26, 1992. They had just recently celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary. Harold was a man of strong Christian faith and enjoyed meaningful conversations, especially those centered around sharing stories of faith. He loved sharing life with family and his friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandy; sons Harold “Billy” Treadway, Bryan Beam, and Terry (Connie) Beam; sister Alyce McKormick; grandchildren D.J., Ashton, Alyssa, Beth, Lynsey, and Sarah; along with two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Neal’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Tanglewood Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided.
