Jeffrey Kyle Owens

Jeffrey Kyle Owens, age 55, of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his home in Greensburg.

Jeffrey was born on May 27, 1970, in Middletown, Ohio, and moved at an early age to the Milan community with his parents, Robert G. and Mary Lou (Ollinger) Owens. He was a graduate of Milan High School, Class of 1988, and entered the workforce shortly thereafter.

Jeffrey worked for nearly 20 years with Enhanced Telecommunications out of Sunman, where he played a vital role in the early development and installation of internet services in the local area.

Jeffrey found joy in many aspects of life. He loved music, especially playing his guitar, and enjoyed attending concerts, with Rush and Todd Snider being among his favorites. He loved the outdoors and riding his e-bike. He also enjoyed reading and studying philosophy and had a deep curiosity about the sky and everything that made it up. Jeffrey had an exceptional ability to retain the knowledge he read and studied.

Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Later in life, Jeffrey reconnected with his biological family and reunited with his siblings, which brought him great happiness.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather (Andrew) Franklin of Osgood, Jennifer Owens of Cincinnati, Tara (Michael) Prather of Milan, and Misty (Joshua) Vogt of Harrison; his significant other, Katie Hempstead; his biological mother, Veronica Meyer; brothers Christopher Owens of California and Mike Meyer of Middletown, Ohio; sisters Renee Meyer and Yvonne McCormack, both of Middletown, Ohio; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. and Mary Lou Owens, and his brother, Jimmy Meyer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
