Jill Ganell Campbell

Jill Ganell Campbell, of Osgood, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Born on October 19, 1963, in Casey County, Kentucky, Jill was the daughter of the late Arlis and Irene (Murphy) Lay.

Jill was a loving mother who was immensely proud of her children. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and especially cherishing moments with her grandchildren. A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Jill devoted her career to caring for others. She recently retired after serving for more than a decade at Ripley Crossing in Milan.

Jill will be dearly missed by her sons, Kyle (Kelly) Purvis, Tyler (Retha Lynn) Purvis, and Jonathon (Melinda) Wild; her brothers, Jack (Shirley) Lay and Garnett Lay; her sisters, Vicki (Ron) Ooten and Jennifer (David) Goode; and her beloved grandchildren, Avery Campbell, Ashton Purvis, Brantlee Purvis, and June Wild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlis and Irene Lay, and her husband, James Campbell.

In keeping with Jill’s wishes, a private family burial will take place near Danville, Kentucky.
