Juanita Carlos Taggaoa, "Mamang" to everyone close to her, quietly passed away at her home at age 85 in Batesville, IN. last Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born on April 10, 1932 in Claveria Cagayan, Philippines to the late Petronilo Taggaoa and Josefa Ines Carlos. She grew up with two brothers and two sisters. They all worked very hard. As life went on, she had her own family life of 1 son and 4 daughters. She continued to work very hard lovingly raising her children and grandchildren. In 2005 at age of 73, she boarded an airplane for the very first time in her life and flew to the United States to join her daughter Lolita Romero where she would live the rest of her life. Finally, on January 12, 2012, she became a proud citizen of the United States. Her daughter, Lolita who is a nurse with the Manderley Health Care Center of Osgood stated, that when her mother received her citizenship, she was the oldest that day and was presented an American flag. She was loved and adored by her family and friends and will be so sadly missed.

Survivors include her son, Leonardo Lim of Angono Rizal, Philippines; four daughters Lydia Lim Carteciano of Sta. Rosa City, Philippines, Lorena Lim of Chicago, Illinois, Leonita Lim Bocher of France and Lolita Lim Romero of Batesville, Indiana. She is also survive by 11 grandchildren.

Her wishes were to be cremated.
