Mary Lou Fox, age 80 of Osgood went home to be with our Lord on May 31, 2015 at 10:40 am at her daughter's Cindy's residence of Osgood. She was born July 2, 1934 at home in Loveland, Ohio to the late Levi Ellsworth & Anna Marie Deerwester Bunnell. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1952 & graduated from Vogue Modeling School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1955. Mary Lou & Elmer Lee Fox were married April 20, 1957 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Napoleon, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2011.
She was a former Girl Scout leader, former member of Alpha Pi Sorority & a former member of the red Hat Belles. She was also a member of the Napoleon UN Methodist Church. Through the years, she played the piano for various churches including Loveland UN Methodist Church, Church of Christ, Napoleon UN Methodist Church & Mud Pike Church of Osgood. Mary Lou was a stringer reporter for the Greensburg Daily News, Cincinnati Post, Cincinnati Enquirer, Time Star, Indianapolis Star, Versailles Republican & Osgood Journal. She reported the Ripley County News for WTRE in Greensburg for 12 years. She was a charter member of the Keene Henneke VFW Auxiliary & presently a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary of Greensburg. She was a former member of the Business & Professional Women's Organization where she was president for 8 years. She was also a 28 year member of the Ripley County AM Heart Association of which 17 years she served as chairman. She was the first employee hired by Heritage House of Greensburg by Bob & Mary Jane Reed on June 2, 1982. There she worked as a Receptionist, Secretary & was also known as the voice of the Heritage House & did each of their commercials on WTRE. She was a very community minded person but above all, her family came first. She always placed her family & friends above herself! She will be so deeply missed by her family & friends.
