Patricia Ann Pettit

Patricia "Pat" Ann (Huntington) Pettit, age 75, of Batesville, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning. She was born on December 21, 1950, in Milan, Indiana, the daughter of Charles Leonard and Ruth (Pate)Huntington.

After high school, Pat entered the workforce and spent many years employed in various factories. The majority of her career was dedicated to working at Valeo and Hillenbrand’s, where she spent nearly 40 years combined. She was a proud supporter of the American Legion, a member of the Batesville Eagles and enjoyed playing bingo, and also treasured spending time with her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her son, Brent Pettit and wife Heather of Texas; her daughter, Becky Berry and husband Mike; her grandchildren, Tyler Reatherford, Derek Reatherford, Shelby Reatherford and fiancée Cole Theobald, Dylan Mullikin and Alex Berry; her brother, George Huntington; and her sister, Jeanette Wagner.She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruth Huntington; her brothers, Mert, Bob, and John Huntington; and her sister, Debbie Huntington.

To know Pat was to enjoy Pat. She had a positive attitude and a straightforward personality. You always knew where you stood with Pat. She called an ace an ace and never hesitated to tell you exactly how she felt. Her honesty, humor, and genuine nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Neal's Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Tanglewood Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared through Neal's Funeral Home.
