Raymond Riebel

Raymond Reibel, age 96, formerly of Osgood, IN , passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at The Colonnades in Charlottesville, VA . Raymond was born May 1, 1917 in New Marion, Indiana. His parents were Otto F. & Bertha Matz Reibel. He married, Ruby Florence Stork June 21, 1947 & she preceded him on death October 23, 2010. Raymond & Ruby had owned & operated a farm in the Osgood area for many years. He said his happiest time was working the land. In addition to farming, he was a very good carpenter. He formerly was employed by Indiana Department of Natural Resources at Versailles State Park. Raymond had been very active in the Osgood Civic Club, Ripley County & Indiana Farm Bureau, Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts serving as cubmaster & scoutmaster. He also served on the board of the Greendale Cemetery of Osgood. He loved the outdoors & farming.

Grandchildren: Raymond J. Reibel, II : Shannon R. Mills & Ashley C. Reibel

Great Grandchildren: James F. Reibel, II, Grace M., Austin B. , Lucy V. Reibel & Beatrice D. Mills

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby F. Reibel & one sister, Carlesta R. Brook.

VISITATION: Saturday, October 19, 2013/ Neal's Funeral Home/ 5:00 pm -7:00 pm

FUNERAL: Sunday, October 20, 2013/ Osgood UN Methodist Church/ 2:00 pm/ He will lie in state at the church from 1:30 pm until the funeral.

MEMORIALS: Osgood UN Methodist Church or the Greendale Cemetry.

BURIAL: Greendale Cemetery
