William C. McCoy was born on December 12, 1925, in Osgood, IN to Charles N. & Anna Fremdling McCoy. He passed away December 18, 2013 in Seal Beach, California. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Bailey & Mildred Starker & also one brother, Robert McCoy. William had two children by his first wife, Coletta Schwier, Steven & Deborah who still survive. William had been a basketball player for the Osgood Cowboys, graduating from Osgood High School in 1943. He proudly served his country in WW II in the US Army Air Corp . He attended Indiana Business college in Indianapolis.
Marjorie McCoy was born August 31, 1927, in Bloomfield, IN to Harvey & Maude Townsend. She passed away on May 12, 2013. She had two brothers Earl Richard & Robert O. Townsend & a sister, Alice J. Talbert. Marjorie graduated from high school in Switz City, IN . She worked at RCA records & later with the Alcholic Beverage Commission, which led to a job with Indiana Wholesale Liquor Dealers.
William & Marjorie were married on September 20, 1971 in Mountain Home, Arkansas & they resided in Hidden Valley retirement community of Leisure World in Seal Beach, California.
They are survived by two children, Steven McCoy & Deborah Wright. Two granddaughters, three great granddaughters & one great grandson survive. GRAVESIDE MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD Friday, June 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St John's Lutheran Cemetery, Napoleon, Indiana. Military services will be conducted by the Keene Henneke VFW Post #9987 of Napoleon, IN and the Wm A Gilland Am Legion Post #267 of Osgood. There will also be Masonic services by the Osgood Masonic Lodge.
