Debra Marie Irene (Manlief) Butz

Debra Marie Irene Butz, age 63 of Osgood passed away early Thursday June 23, 2022 at her home outside of Napoleon.  Debra was born at Batesville Hospital on August 26, 1958 the daughter of the late George and Marlene (Herbert) Manlief. 

Debra was a graduate of South Decatur High School.  She had several love and passions in her life.  She enjoyed working in the custodial department at Batesville Primary for over 25 years, her sickness made her retire last fall.  Her greatest love was her family, she enjoyed spending time with all of them.  She was fortunate enough to have her grandkids as neighbors. 

She married Ron Butz on January 20, 1979 and they built a new home in 1984.  They had been regular campers at Friendship for over 30 years, with lots of great memories.  At home she enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

She will be deeply missed by husband Ron, daughter Angie (Mike) McEvoy, brother Mike Manlief, sister Paula (Mark) Scheidler, and grandchildren; Maci, Kinsley, Brayden, and Ashley.  She was preceded in death by son Timothy and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 25 from 12-2 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm., also at Neal’s.  Burial with follow at St Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Napoleon.  Memorials can be given to St Maurice Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
