Dennis Gene Winters

Dennis Gene Winters, age 74 of Osgood passed away on Thursday April 21 in the comfort of his family.  Dennis was born on August 12, 1947 to the late Stanley and Frances (Mosier) Winters.

After high school Dennis proudly served in the United States Army.  When he was done with his military service he returned to the Osgood community.  He owned and operated his own construction business for his working years.

Dennis was a man that enjoyed people and helping them.  He was always there to lend a hand.  He continued to support fellow Veterans.  He served as Post Commander at the Osgood American Legion, represented the 9th District at the state level, and always there to honor a fallen local veteran. 

He enjoyed grabbing a cold beer and talking about just about anything with a new friend or a lifelong buddy.  Dennis was known to be a book full of jokes.  He was proud of who he was and what he stood for.

Dennis will be deeply missed by wife Connie, daughters; Lisa (Earl) Hopper of Osgood, Angie Boudoin of Rushville, Megan Winters of Osgood, and Katrina Robertson of Columbus, brother Dean of Norfolk, VA, sisters Margret (Shawn)  Gilland of Indianapolis and Claudia Evans of Greensburg, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jess Lewis III.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 25, 2022 from 4-6 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.  Funeral services with Military Honors by Osgood American Legion will be held at 6 pm., also at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
