McCoy David Smith

McCoy David Smith age 54 of Sunman passed away on July 8, 2023.  He was born on November 2, 1968, the son of the late McCoy and Roselee (Blickemstaf) Smith in Lexington, Kentucky.

McCoy spent several years working as a heavy equipment operator for Gibbco.  He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.  His hobbies included going fishing and working on cars.  He was fortunate enough to travel some with his favorite places being the Natural Bridge in Kentucky and any beach.

He will be missed by children; Cody (Caitlin) Lewis of Germany, Zac Lewis of Cincinnati, Autumn (Brittani) Smith of Batesville, and Cassidy Smith of Indianapolis, brother Shane Smith of Batesville, and sisters Vicki (Mark) Bennett of Florida, and Rita Reverman of Anderson, mother of his children Christina Lewis, and grandchildren Ariella Smith, Dillinger Lewis, Oliver Lewis, Maxwell Lewis, and Daisy Lewis. 

Visitation will be held on July 19, 2023 from 3-5 pm., at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood, with funeral services being conducted at 5 pm.  Memorials can be given to the family in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
