Welcome to the memorial page for

Rosie M. (Greenwood) Keck

December 31, 1923 ~ May 15, 2016 (age 92) 92 Years Old

The Osgood Community lost another very familiar face on Sunday May 15, 2016.  Rosella M. (Greenwood) Keck passed away at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN.  Rosie was born December 1, 1923 in Cross Plains, IN, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ella Oliver Greenwood.  She grew up with her four brothers, who all preceded her in death.  Rosie married Eugene Keck on April 29, 1939, and to their union two sons were born, Jerry E and Ronald L Keck.  Eugene preceded her in death in 2004, and son Jerry also passed away in 2003.  Ronald survives and resides in Colorado.  Other survivors include 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a very special friend and her caregiver, Carrie Noble of Versailles, IN .

Early in her work career,  Rosie worked as a server at the Evergreen Restaurant and then at the Dunbar & Bultman Dairy which had both been located in Osgood. She then became the owner and operator of a clothing store known as the “Little Folks Shop” from 1960-1964, in downtown Osgood.  She and her husband also owned and operated their school buses and drove for the Osgood school , which then became Jac-Cen-Del from the late 1950’s thru the 70’s, and after doing this for 27 years she then retired.

Rosie was truly a workaholic throughout her career, but was also a mother who gave selflessly and endlessly to her children.  She was always extremely supportive and fair in raising her family.

Rosie was a past member of the Osgood Eastern Stars and the Osgood Methodist Church.  She enjoyed bowling and watching sports, and especially rooting for the Cincinnati Reds.  Memorials can be given to the Ripley County Humane Society or American Diabetes Association in care of Neal’s Funeral Home.  Burial will be Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles, IN .  (Click on service details above for more information.)    www.nealsfuneralhome.net
