I am so very sorry to the family for your loss. I grew up with Melanie and spent many days and nights running around Osgood and Napoleon. Swimming at Peetz'z pond and camping out. Watching General Hospital and walking from Mel's house to Lookout to the store. Shirley used to take us on hayrides in the fall. We used to walk down to Laughery bridge and scare each other with ghost stories. Climbed the Napoleon water tower one winter night. We messaged each other and talked about getting together. Oh how I wish we would have done so. Melanie will be missed dearly.

I am truly saddened to hear such about a the passing of Melanie. I had her as a student during my tenure at J-C-D. She was funny and witty. We had become reconnected through facebook several years ago. We would message each other inquiring about each other's families. I will surely miss her. She demonstrated such strength after tragically losing her parents at such a young age. Rest in peace dear friend.

My most sincere condolences to Melanie's family and friends. I grew up with Melanie, spent many days and nights with her at her home with her beloved Parents Marcella and Shirley, whom everyone loved as well! We had a lot of fun hanging out, rode the bus together ( ha ha sometimes her dad (our bus driver had to honk the bus horn when it was her stop! ) enjoyed ice skating on her pond, cheerleading and running around together. I'll always have memories of those days and her. We both lost our brother at the same time. Have always felt a connection with her. She is in my thoughts heavy and so are you (family & friends in my prayers! I know she will be missed by many. God has rested her soul. God Bless you all
